Obama/Biden weakened our military, dismissed our role in the world and the result is naked aggression and war.

"...the absence of interstate war had become the norm, as if by its own accord. ..This state of affairs was maintained by American power.

Presidents Obama, Trump and Biden have whittled away that power and shrunk America’s global role. Mr. Obama slashed the share of gross domestic product spent on defense by a third, withdrew forces prematurely from Iraq, stinted on arms for Ukraine, and squandered credibility by erasing his own “red line” in Syria once it had been crossed...Mr. Biden yielded Afghanistan to the Taliban, seeming to assume this would have no consequences elsewhere.

Various predators and would-be predators have smelled weakness in America’s retrenchment. On Feb. 4, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping issued a manifesto hailing the “redistribution of power in the world” and the “transformation of the global governance architecture and world order.” They added that their partnership “has no limits, there are no ‘forbidden’ areas of cooperation,” an explicit declaration that these two will set their own rules in the new world order." https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-liberal-international-order-ukraine-russia-invasion-war-xi-putin-taiwan-china-peace-talks-turkey-defense-spending-budget-negotiations-global-power-11648660753?mod=opinion_lead_pos5

who could believe this Biden lie?

Even for typical lying democratic pols, this is hard to fathom? He must think we all all stupid.

WsJournal today: Biden quote
"‘Make no mistake, inflation is largely the fault of Putin.”
Even by the high standards of political mendacity, the attempt by President Biden last week to assign blame for the acceleration of prices that began just over a year ago to a war that began just under three weeks ago is remarkable for its cynicism, its dishonesty and its desperation.
The cynicism is so sweeping that you have to sit back and marvel. How much contempt do they have for the intelligence of Americans to think that there are enough who would believe such a proposition?

How Biden's ineptitude led to Russian invasion of Ukraine. 7 ways he contributed to it,

How Biden's ineptitude led to Russian invasion of Ukraine. 7 ways he contributed to it,

WSJournal today
"Mr. Biden’s past actions likely emboldened Vladimir Putin.
1. Before Mr. Biden became president, Mr. Putin had been conditioned by the Obama-Biden administration’s weak response to Russia’s seizure of Crimea in 2014, which involved imposing modest sanctions but refusing to arm Ukraine.
2. Mr. Putin’s attacks on civilians during Syria’s civil war, starting in 2015, in support of the brutal Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, were met with only light sanctions levied by the U.S.
3. Once Mr. Biden assumed the presidency, he discarded a powerful geopolitical advantage—America’s energy independence—by canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, halting leases for drilling on federal land and waters, restricting access to capital for oil and gas companies, and piling on regulatory burdens. Mr. Putin must have been amazed by the U.S. squandering such a huge edge.
4. Then on May 19, 2021, the Biden administration removed sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to Germany, which had been imposed by President Donald Trump, without concessions from Russia. Mr. Biden renewed sanctions late that summer, but he had already sent the wrong signal.
5. In late May, Mr. Biden issued his defense budget. Mr. Putin surely realized a 1.6% increase was—after inflation—a decline in American military spending. That too suggested weakness.
6. Then, before a mid-June summit between the two leaders, Mr. Biden paused a $100 million military aid package to Ukraine, signaling again to Mr. Putin a lack of American resolve. It took until September for the U.S. to restart military assistance to Ukraine—and even then, a bipartisan group of senators criticized the package as inadequate.
7. Perhaps the most damaging thing Mr. Biden did was his abject surrender in Afghanistan. Mr. Putin was probably astounded that with the country stabilized and only a minimal residual force remaining, America would abandon it to the Taliban. Such things get noticed in the Kremlin.
Mr. Putin might have invaded Ukraine without Mr. Biden’s missteps. We’ll never know."

Democrats war on energy

Democrats war on oil drives up prices.
WSJournal
"In 2019 (under Trump) the U.S. became energy-independent, a net exporter. Gas and electricity prices were low, and the U.S. was the largest producer of energy on the planet. Thanks to abundant and affordable clean-burning natural gas, brought to us by horizontal drilling, the reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions was the most successful in the industrialized world...In the year since the administration (Biden) froze new drilling leases on 26% of federal land and more than a third of the nation’s resources in productivity, the U.S. has been falling further from energy independence, putting national security at risk."
Psaki/Biden lying about oil leases and production
on those 9000 permits that Psaki loves to crow about:
1. some of those are dry, so there was nothing to pump out of them.
2. Some are restricted over environmental issues, some of which are due to Biden's executive actions he took reversing Trump's executive actions in 2017.
3. Biden loves comparing 2017 production to current production, but 2017 was the year Trump removed many of the restrictions that the Obama/Biden Administration had placed on oil companies, so it took that period of 2017 to ramp up production. An oil well isn't drilled and put into production in a single day. It takes time, but if you compare Trump's numbers from 2018-19 they'll be higher than Bidens.
4. If Biden's numbers were as great as Psaki claims he wouldn't have to have increased imports by 40.6%.

'Climate-change moralists love humanity so much in the abstract that they must shut down its life-giving gas, coal and oil in the concrete. And they value humans so little that they don’t worry in the here and now that ensuing fuel shortages and exorbitant costs cause wars, spike inflation and threaten people’s ability to travel or keep warm.

The Biden administration stopped all gas and oil production in the ANWR region of Alaska. It ended all new federal leases for drilling. It is canceling major new pipelines. It is leveraging lending agencies not to finance oil and gas drilling. It helped force the cancellation of the EastMed pipeline that would have brought much-needed natural gas to southern Europe. And it has in just a year managed to turn the greatest oil and gas producer in the history of the world into a pathetic global fossil-fuel beggar."

                        Victor  DAVID HANSON

"His administration is similarly proceeding as if Vladimir Putin weren’t exploiting his energy dominance to kill Ukrainians. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission recently announced a new pipeline review policy that will stop most projects. The White House continues its near-moratorium on new leases to drill on federal land and its block of Alaskan drilling. The president announced he’ll attempt to impose his Green New Deal via executive order. The House Progressive Caucus this week offered ideas, calling on him to “declare a national climate emergency,” and use it to ban “fossil fuel leases,” and force companies to build renewables under the Defense Production Act.

Across the pond, things look exactly opposite. The Europeans have embraced the climate religion with a fervor to rival Bernie Sanders. Yet Mr. Putin’s shocking violence in Ukraine—his willingness to wield energy as a weapon—sobered the Continent overnight."
