1.Pledge

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

2.O say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

3.   Psalms Chapter 121

1 A Song of Ascents. {N}
I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?

2 My help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD is thy keeper; the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; He shall keep thy soul.

8 The LORD shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for ever. {P}

4. Prayer for the Country

Our God and God of our ancestors…Unite the inhabitants of our country, of all backgrounds and creeds, so that we may banish hatred and bigotry, safeguard our noblest ideals, and preserve those institutions which nurture liberty.

May this land under Your Providence be an influence for good throughout the world, helping us to unite all peoples in peace and freedom, and bringing closer to fulfillment the visions of your prophets:

‘Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.’   ‘For the work of the righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness calm and confidence forever.’ Amen.

5.Psalm 20

:

1For the conductor, a song of David.

2May the Lord answer you on a day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob fortify you.

3May He send your aid from His sanctuary, and may He support you from Zion.

4May He remember all your meal offerings and may He accept your fat burnt offerings forever.

5May He give you as your heart [desires], and may He fulfill all your counsel.

6Let us sing praises for your salvation, and let us assemble in the name of our God; may the Lord fulfill all your requests.

7Now I know that the Lord saved His anointed; He answered him from His holy heavens; with the mighty acts of salvation from His right hand.

8These trust in chariots and these in horses, but we-we mention the name of the Lord our God.

9They kneel and fall, but we rise and gain strength.

10O Lord, save [us]; may the King answer us on the day we call.

6.Psalm 16

1A prayer of David; Hearken, O Lord, to righteousness, listen to my cry, lend an ear to my prayer, [which is] without deceitful lips.

2May my judgment come forth from before You; may Your eyes see [my] upright acts.

3You have tried my heart; You have visited [upon me] at night. You have refined me and not found; If I think, let it not pass my mouth.

4As for man's deeds, because of the word of Your lips, I kept [myself] from the ways of the profligate.

5To support my feet in Your paths, lest my feet falter.

6I called to You because You shall answer me, O God. Bend Your ear to me; hearken to my saying.

7Distinguish Your kind acts to save, with Your right hand, those who take refuge [in You] from those who rise up [against them].

8Guard me as the apple of the eye; in the shadow of Your wings You shall hide me.

9Because of the wicked who have robbed me; my mortal enemies who encompass me.

10[With] their fat, they closed themselves up; their mouths spoke with haughtiness.

11[By] our footsteps they surround us now, they set their eyes roaming over the land.

12His likeness is like a lion, which yearns for prey, and as a young lion, which lurks in hidden places.

13Arise, O Lord, confront him; bring him down to his knees; rescue my soul from the wicked, Your sword.

14Of those who die by Your hand, O Lord, of those who die of old age, whose share is in life, and whose belly You will fill with Your hidden treasure, who have children in plenty and leave their abundance to their babes.

15I will see Your face with righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your image upon the awakening.

7.Mi Sheberach by Debbie Friedman

Mi shebeirach avoteinu
M'kor hab'racha l'imoteinu
May the source of strength
Who blessed the ones before us
Help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing
And let us say Amen

Mi shebeirach imoteinu
M'kor habrachah l'avoteinu
Bless those in need of healing with r'fuah sh'leimah
The renewal of body, the renewal of spirit
And let us say Amen

8.   Mi Sheberach in English Translation

May the One who blessed our ancestors —

Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,

Matriarchs Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah —

bless and heal the one who is ill:

May the Holy Blessed One

overflow with compassion upon him/her,

to restore him/her,

to heal him/her,

to strengthen him/her,

to enliven him/her.

The One will send him/her, speedily,

a complete healing —

healing of the soul and healing of the body —

along with all the ill,

among the people of Israel and all humankind,

soon,

speedily,

without delay,

and let us all say:  Amen!

9.    Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife

I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away

And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea

From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.
Where's pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say

That I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

10. God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above

From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America, my home sweet home

God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above

From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America, my home sweet home

From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America, my home sweet home
God bless America, my home sweet home
