Dennis Ross wrong to want to keep Iran deal
James Pallack:" The Iran Agreement was not just a bad deal, it was a horrific deal. Keep in mind, Ross was the guy who robustly encouraged the Oslo accords, and then, two decades ago, tried to coerce the Israeli’s, on behalf of the Clinton administration, to agree in giving the Palestinians huge land masses and a large segment of Jerusalem, so as to establish a Palestinian State. He also strongly supported the ill conceived Israeli retreat out of Gaza in 2005, and the imprudent Palestinian elections a year later that resulted in Hamas taking over Gaza. And he still questions the legitimacy of Israeli control over, and establishment of Jewish villages (settlements) in, most of Judea and Samaria. In my opinion, attempting to re-negotiate parts of this fiasco agreement, rather than terminating it, is analogously as ludicrous, as attempting to just fix parts of Obamacare. And, if push comes to shove, Ross naively discounts the fact that to our agreement partners, a relationship with the United States is infinitenessably more important, than their relationship with Iran. I suspect it possible, that if Hilary Clinton was President, and suggested pulling out of the Iran agreement, Dennis Ross might have a different mindset. That said, there are times that true leadership requires bold moves, and regarding the Iran Agreement, that time is now. "
