Democrats war on energy

Democrats war on oil drives up prices.
WSJournal
"In 2019 (under Trump) the U.S. became energy-independent, a net exporter. Gas and electricity prices were low, and the U.S. was the largest producer of energy on the planet. Thanks to abundant and affordable clean-burning natural gas, brought to us by horizontal drilling, the reduction in greenhouse-gas emissions was the most successful in the industrialized world...In the year since the administration (Biden) froze new drilling leases on 26% of federal land and more than a third of the nation’s resources in productivity, the U.S. has been falling further from energy independence, putting national security at risk."
Psaki/Biden lying about oil leases and production
on those 9000 permits that Psaki loves to crow about:
1. some of those are dry, so there was nothing to pump out of them.
2. Some are restricted over environmental issues, some of which are due to Biden's executive actions he took reversing Trump's executive actions in 2017.
3. Biden loves comparing 2017 production to current production, but 2017 was the year Trump removed many of the restrictions that the Obama/Biden Administration had placed on oil companies, so it took that period of 2017 to ramp up production. An oil well isn't drilled and put into production in a single day. It takes time, but if you compare Trump's numbers from 2018-19 they'll be higher than Bidens.
4. If Biden's numbers were as great as Psaki claims he wouldn't have to have increased imports by 40.6%.

'Climate-change moralists love humanity so much in the abstract that they must shut down its life-giving gas, coal and oil in the concrete. And they value humans so little that they don’t worry in the here and now that ensuing fuel shortages and exorbitant costs cause wars, spike inflation and threaten people’s ability to travel or keep warm.

The Biden administration stopped all gas and oil production in the ANWR region of Alaska. It ended all new federal leases for drilling. It is canceling major new pipelines. It is leveraging lending agencies not to finance oil and gas drilling. It helped force the cancellation of the EastMed pipeline that would have brought much-needed natural gas to southern Europe. And it has in just a year managed to turn the greatest oil and gas producer in the history of the world into a pathetic global fossil-fuel beggar."

                        Victor  DAVID HANSON

"His administration is similarly proceeding as if Vladimir Putin weren’t exploiting his energy dominance to kill Ukrainians. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission recently announced a new pipeline review policy that will stop most projects. The White House continues its near-moratorium on new leases to drill on federal land and its block of Alaskan drilling. The president announced he’ll attempt to impose his Green New Deal via executive order. The House Progressive Caucus this week offered ideas, calling on him to “declare a national climate emergency,” and use it to ban “fossil fuel leases,” and force companies to build renewables under the Defense Production Act.

Across the pond, things look exactly opposite. The Europeans have embraced the climate religion with a fervor to rival Bernie Sanders. Yet Mr. Putin’s shocking violence in Ukraine—his willingness to wield energy as a weapon—sobered the Continent overnight."
